Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
This MVP privacy policy explains what DareCup collects and uses to run leagues, sign-in, invites, predictions, and notifications.
Entertainment only. No betting, no gambling, no money prizes.
Keep dares safe, friendly, consensual, and legal.
1. Information we collect
Creators provide an email address for magic-link sign-in. Players may provide a nickname and optional contact details such as email, phone, or WhatsApp number.
We store league names, invite codes, members, player roles, prediction status, predictions, results, points, and basic game activity needed to run each league.
We may also process technical information such as browser type, device/session identifiers, IP-derived request information, logs, errors, and timestamps needed for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
2. Why we collect it
We use this information to sign users in, create leagues, join players, save predictions, show results, manage capacity, support invite links, and help creators understand who has predicted.
We also use it to keep the app secure, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and improve the MVP experience.
3. MailWizz email usage
DareCup uses MailWizz for branded transactional emails such as magic-link sign-in emails.
Later, DareCup may use MailWizz for manual creator-approved reminders or result notifications to players who provided an email address. Automated marketing or result emails are not enabled unless clearly approved and implemented.
DareCup email data must stay separate from APEX data, lists, templates, and customer assets.
4. What league members can see
League members can see league-level information such as names, prediction status, and revealed predictions after lock/final states.
Do not add private personal data to nicknames, league names, or custom text fields.
5. No sale of personal data
We do not sell personal data. We do not use player contact details for third-party advertising sales.
We may use service providers such as Supabase, Vercel, and MailWizz to operate the app.
6. Data retention
We keep league, account, prediction, and technical data for as long as needed to operate DareCup, provide support, keep records, improve the MVP, or meet legal and security needs.
You can request deletion or access by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained where required for security, abuse prevention, backup, or legal reasons.
7. Contact and requests
For privacy questions or deletion requests, email hello@darecup.com.
